Secret writings
I'm doing a new thing. I've started to branch out into writing pieces a bit outside of my standard blog posts. I don't know what to call them exactly. Prose? Essays? It doesn't really matter. The point is that they're more artsy than what I usually post here. I'm a little too self-conscious to post them on social media because I honestly don't know if they're any good, and I think they're generally going to be pretty personal and vulnerable. But they will of course be visible to anyone who goes looking for them on my blog, subscribes to me via RSS, or finds them on the bearblog discover feed.
They will all be tagged "secret writings."
It's kind of neat, having a thing I'm doing that feels a little hidden. I mean, it's not really hidden. But I'm keeping it off social media, and I think that's interesting in a cool underground sort of way.
Also, the first one I wrote made it to the front page of bearblog's discover feed, and it has the most upvotes of anything I've ever posted on here, without me sharing it on any of my social media. So maybe I'm not totally terrible at this more creative sort of writing. That's pretty cool, I think.
